Run With the Horses 10K & Relay
To celebrate the tradition of The Legacy Chase and the successful conservation programs of the Land Preservation Trust, Shawan Downs hosted the second annual cross country 10K Run and the first annual Relay on September 23, 2011. Save the date for 2012 - Friday, September 28th!
The Run With The Horses 10K & Relay course begins at Shawan Downs and continues on a scenic cross-country run through the beautiful Worthington Valley and ends on the racecourse at Shawan Downs.
Proceeds from this event benefit GBMC HealthCare.

- 6:00 pm: Official Start
Post Race Party: Post Race Party with concessions, music and libations immediately following race. Admission to party free for Runners. Additional Guests, $10 Entry Fee payable at the door.
New in 2011
The option for a relay team to enter the field. The first leg is for the distance runner and will be approximately four miles. The second leg for the hill enthusiast, ready to endure approximately 2.5 of Shawan Downs' rolling hills. Each relay member must complete a registration form and both forms must be submitted together. Print the name of your team on the combined registration forms.

Runners receive:
- Custom T Shirt for the first 500 registered participants
- Water on Course
- Post Race Party: Live music, libations and food. (Participants receive 1 free beer and 1 free concession ticket.) Additional guests $10 entry fee.

Relay Registration
- Early (Until Aug 31) — $60 for relay team
- Regular (Sept 1-27) — $70 for relay team
- On-Site (Sept 28) — $80 for relay team
