The Maryland Junior Hunt Cup
The Maryland Junior Hunt Cup has been run since 2001 to encourage the interest of young equestrians in horse racing. The day includes pony flat races, junior field master chases, a stick pony race and a leadline trot race and is a great way to support the future of steeplechase racing in Maryland. The 2012 Race will be held on Sunday, April 29th.
Proceeds from the Maryland Junior Hunt Cup benefit the Land Preservation Trust (LPT) and the North American Pt-to-Pt Association (NAPPA). Visit the Maryland Junior Hunt Cup website for more information.

Subscriber Parking
$50 per car *
Subscribers parking area is on the Shawan Downs hill overlooking the course, just a short distance from the hillside viewing areas.
General Parking
$10 per car *
General parking area is in a field near the course.
* No additional admission is required for the event.
Finish Line Box
$125 per box before April 1st*
$200 per box after April 1st *
Watch the races from your private, open-air box. Each box includes 1 table and 4 chairs. Package includes 1 Subscriber parking pass. No pop-up tents are allowed.
BUY TICKETS IN PERSON
Tickets will be available in the Spring at The Butler Store, Dogwood Tack, The Filling Station, The Mill, and Maryland Saddlery.
STICK PONY RACE
Open to amateur “jockeys” 7 years of age and under. Entry fee $5. All jockeys must supply their own “mount” and are encouraged to wear racing silks. Prizes to all starters. About 20 feet on the flat.
